weekly pay on Friday with double features but each driver could only race one feature. Saturday double pay for winners. Saturdays pay was what indianola and adel pays weekly. Brooklyn drivers race for half of what these other 2 tracks race for weekly. Eastern Iowa tracks have always paid half. Not bashing just telling it like it is.

I just thought maybe someone that was there might tell us what was paid as I see on hear everyone complaining and thought might see how it compares to Indianola and Adel payoff. So if someone can give us figures because I am not sure what the tracks pay. Thanks

Wondering & Info, If you would like to discuss, you can e-mail me @ www.donw@priority-express.com. You can give me your # and I'll get back with you. We did pay out over $16,000.00 for the 2 days and if you have ideas on how I should of done things differently, I will definitely listen to your suggestions. Thanks, Don Wauters

congrats on a great weekend don. That was about the take from the pit gate for 1 night. Grandstands and 2nd night was profit. Nice to see profit from racing for the promoters with this economy. You are doing something right. Again congrats.

As far as pay-out goes around here. I can only talk about the stock class. But the best paying track has always been Sigourney. With things currently 2nd best would be What Cheer, and then Brooklyn and the lowest paying would be Barnes City. The Ez Sales and Rental race is the best kept secret. It’s a What Cheer race and in the stock class it pays about the same as the second night of the Brooklyn Nationals. The kicker is you won’t go broke if you pay the pit passes for the guys helping you. It was $10 there compared to $25 at Brooklyn and $25 the car and driver compared to $35 on the second night. On the down side the racing can be a bit rougher at What Cheer opposed to Brooklyn. We all want a nice pay out but we have to realize the tracks have to pay high insurance, the track helpers, equipment, electricity, water, and track preparation along with upkeep. Wondering I would have to ask how much pit pass are there? And do they have running water in the restrooms at Indy or Adel?

Brooklyn Winner, Ouch,
First of all, the Open winner received more that $400.00 for the win on Saturday and second of all I have done my best to run this track and be as fair as possible. Believe me I would rather be racing at the Brooklyn track, then running it. So, if you want to continue to criticize me under NO NAME logins, without trying to communicate your concerns directly with me, go ahead if it makes yourself feel better. Better yet, get ahold of me and you can buy the track and run it the way you want, that way I can go back to racing my favorite track.

Brooklyn Winner,
I'm not sure what Open feature you are claiming to have won on Saturday night of Brooklyn Nationals but the car/driver that did win the Open feature won more then $400 and was pleased with the payout! Thank you!

Everyone is quick to criticize on here yet only a few have the knowledge and resources to promote a track. Instead of picking apart Indy, Adel, Brooklyn, Barnes City, What Cheer, or Sigourney do your best to support them and if you have a problem with a particular track take it up with them and leave it off of here. Don is doing what he can to keep a track going, if everyone wants more pay help the track get sponsers or pay a higher entry fee. Its not that hard to figure out that 10 open cars at $20 per car is only $200 paid in that doesnt even pay the winner let alone anyone else. Tracks are hard to run so be thankful people are trying to keep them open for everyone to race at

I do agree with you former driver. You must support the tracks and I do. I beleive and hope that the tracks next year will post their mimium pay outs for each class. Plus, we as drives are told that pay reflects car count. So give a percentage of what that change would be. So this would be an easy one to fix. Show us what we are racing for prize money wise. Then this post would not exists. Don your an awesome racer, you have done quite well in the shipping business, a hell of a gambler, and you will I'm sure figure the business of this figure 8 thing out. Thanks again for saving the best 8 track in Iowa. And yes" I'd rather be racing in brooklyn iowa"

So it paid 500 to win with an entry fee of 70 for the 2 days not a bad return on the investment. If any of you guys that are complaining on here had enough balls to call and talk to Don you would probably be surprised by how much profit if any he had over the 2 days. I've never raced at Brooklyn but Don is trying and if its not good enough man up leave your name and try to do it yourself

The $500.00 paid to the Open Winner was only for Saturdays show. I understand the Friday shows of (2) Open "A" Mains paid each Winner another $250.00 each. I personally thought the show was excellent with good prize money and Champion Belts along with many quality trophies. Has anyone noticed all the improvements done to the track over the year?
