BROOKLYN RACEWAY NATIONALS “2011”
FRIDAY, Sept. 23rd @ 7:15pm & Sat., 24th @ 6:30pm
Classes: FWD (Circle), CRUISERS (Circle), STOCK (Figure 8), PRO-STOCK (Figure 8, OPEN (Figure 8), MINI SPRINTS (Circle), LEGENGS (Circle) (If you are legal to run in your regular series track, you will be legal to run here, within reason. Track officials have final determination. Safety items will still be enforced.)
Each day will be a complete show, with payout each night. (Draw – Re-Draw format). Entries that show up on Sat., but didn’t show up Friday, will start behind the drivers in the heats that raced Friday.
Alcoholic Beverages: Are PROHIBITED in the pit area. Coolers will be checked and held until after the races are completed.
Winners of Friday nights show will be given a provisional for Saturday‘s “A” Main. They will still be required to qualify, but will start at the tail of “A” Main on Saturday if they don’t. Also, Saturday’s Champions will be given a provisional for the “2012” Nationals.
Plaques for the top 2 in the “A” Mains will be awarded on Friday.
Champion Belts will be given to all “A” Main winners on Saturday and trophies for 2nd – 5th in each Class.
Rules of Participation
The figure 8 races will be composed of individual heats and featured events. Decision of the official judges and counters will be final for all events.
A. The promoters reserve the right to approve or reject all entries.
B. Each driver must sign and fill out an entry form. An entry fee of ($30.00 Friday) & ($40.00 Sat.) will be charged and that includes drivers pit pass only. Payout will be based on total car count, but not less than 100% of total entry fees. (Cruisers will be charged $30.00 for each person, Fri. & Sat.) (Entry fees are higher, due to wanting to payout better than regular shows.)
C. Owners, pitman, and anyone entering the pit area will pay $25.00 fee for a pit pass. Only individuals with pit passes will be allowed in the pits. All persons entering the pit area must sign a waiver of liability. NO ONE UNDER 12 IS ALLOWED IN THE PITS. Under 18 must have Parent’s Signature.
D. Drivers must be 16 years of age: with judges' right to determine driver incapability. (16 and/or 17 year old drivers must have parent's signature.)
E. No cars are permitted on track before their heat or before the official hot laps.
F. Cars may be inspected before they are allowed to race. Cars can be randomly checked for certain items at any time after any race.
G. NO BEER OR ALCOHOL will be allowed in the pit area. Drinking on the track or pit area will result in your removal from the grounds, car will be disqualified, and points and winnings will be forfeited for that event. FIGHTING AND EXTREME BAD LANGUAGE WILL RESULT IN THE SAME PENALTY AS ABOVE. This includes drivers, pit crew, and followers. Drivers you are responsible for these individuals. Official's decisions are final.
H. All points stay with the driver and no switching of cars.
I. Additional safety regulations may be imposed depending on track conditions.
J. All cars are to be removed from the grounds within 48 hours following the race or they become track property.
K. Only the Figure “8” car, one support vehicle and one trailer will be allowed in the pit area. All others must be parked in the south parking lot.
Race Rules
A. No deliberate hits, head on collisions, or hitting a drivers door. Violators will be BLACK FLAGGED and both driver and car will be DISQUALIFIED for the remainder of the day. If in the flagman's judgment that the hit and/or conduct were deliberate.
B. A car will be BLACK FLAGGED if a tire comes off the wheel, unless that car is running in the top 3 positions and doesn't get passed. If the car gets passed then it is BLACKED FLAGGED.
C. Any driver or car judged to have violated the rules will be BLACK FLAGGED and must leave the track immediately and return to the pit area.
D. If car is late to staging area and cars are on the track, but not racing, the late car may still enter the race but must start at the rear.
E. Restarts will revert back to track position of the last completed lap.
F. Pit passes must be visible while in the pits.
G. Flags are as follows:
Green: Go, race underway
Yellow: Single file at slow speed
Red: Stop, no exceptions
Black: Leave race, rule violation
White: One lap remaining
Checkered: Race Completed
