figure 8 really has no communication

Jesus Christ!!!!! I bought a car and wanted to get into figure 8 racing but nobody can give me any numbers to call anyone on questions of the rules. IS THIS HOW THIS WORKS? WTF!!!! I got my car up for sale 200 cash someone come get it. After reading all the post on here about rules and crap and no way to get hold of anyone for rules what a joke. No wonder so many people is mad! Glade i seen how figure 8 racing works before it was to late to get into this mess!!!! Last 3 years been watching figure 8 races and wanted to get into so i decided to get a car and build to the rules but I had questions and went to this idra website and can't get a email back. WTF!!!

Sorry to hear that but somehow that doesn't surprise me one bit. Here's the rules I've learned by and my thoughts of it. Rules are Rules. Stock means Stock. If they want to use the usage of the words then use the usage of the words back. No matter what you do they always going to complain about something. My advice is to do what makes you happy the hell with anyone else. If you want to race then race. Fans are only fans. Techs are only Techs. Friends are Friends. The rule is just a piece of paper with words on it that they use to gripe about. If you do what the higher up people want you will begin to hate this sport. At the end of the night when ur done racing you have to feel good about yourself. Nobody can take that from you. I'm advise is to do whatever you want. Just keep in mind if you follow there rules you can end up wasting money trying to do what should be right. If you want this to be cheap then build it cheap but don't complain when it doesn't work. If you want to win you have to go after it to win. History will show you in any type of racing everyone has cheated at some point and anyone who says they haven't is a saint ha ha. Yea open drivers use to cheat back in the day its a part of racing. They have done there time of it but want others not to do it. You can't let others bring you down. Friends in racing are not something you take for granted there are alot of those people out there that will Arab you in the back, out for themselves, or just plain use ya. If your going to build a stock or prostock car hide what you but if you get caught don't complain. You live to race another day. Hell what anyone thinks and you can't relief on trying to call people to get answers. Do what you feel is right and ur own way. If u do something that many say is bending the rule be sure to have ur reason behind it and be ready to back it up. Cause you will never be able to defeat ignorance. There are guys out there that will help ya if u ask questions. But before you go asking the wrong people the questions make sure u do ur homework cause again not every driver is ur friend even when they say you are. If you still want to sell that car let me know ill pick it up. Bit just enjoy the racing leave the politics to those who think they will change it. Just focus on what you want only.

I have to agree with driver. They have rules bit they mean jack. Do what makes you happy and don't worry about anyone else. Even if you built ur car to the rules I'll get screwed. So just take the rules as a basis. Those guys still haven't learned how to six it and its pretty simple to fix. Anyways just do what u want spend your money as you want. As driver said there are people who are ur friends and those who ain't. If u build your car make sure u spend the money that u only want to spend again nothing in rules says a cash limit so take it to where u will. But have to throw this in here before the people tring to change the rules in a specific class maybe you need to worry about your own racing and getting better finishes

Dont worry about the rules do what makes you happy. Only rules that everyone tends to agree on is no fighting and bring your car. Rules are only a guide if you ask people that's in charge of the rule they will think of ways to discredit it. If you want to have fun do what makes u have fun cause there ain't money, there ain't trophys like there use to, learn this quick in figure 8 racing its who you know. The only track I know that will treat you totally fair and as human being is sigourney. Is start tour first race at sigourney. When they see something wrong they don't hound you on it they just simply explain the reason why man to man. One of the only tracks left that still has driver communication.

They have this thing called a general agreement or a gentlmen rule, As u read in the rules it doesnt say anything about a general agreement and also doesnt say a gentlmen rule. They do say but at the descresion of the tech. That's were the whole fighting comes from its not the rule. If its safety then ya at the decresion of the tech. As far as running your car no. If you dont want it done PUT THE DAM THING IN THE RULE!!!!!! WOW THAT WAS SOOOO HARD TO DO. No adding to the rule part season have your rules rdy way before thats solving the problem. If the drivers come down and its not in the rule they should always be allowed to run. If its in the rule then they cant run it. They just must want a reason to complain or they would fix it. So why not have the driver's complain? They want the drivers to stop complaining but they wont do what needs to be done to stop the complaining as long as the rule doesnt say u can do it do it !!!!!!! One day these idiots will wake up. Someone said on here and makes a valid point. Worry about your own racing not a class you aint in!!!

Wow this is interesting. Rule topic here we go. What's a rule? A rule is something you don't over pass. When u look at the rule u can go under it But you can go right to it. I love running pro stock and pushing the rule. Its not about racing when i come down its all about seeing what I can totally get away with. Ya if they say no then ur screwed but you won't know what you can get away with unless you push it. If they don't put it I'm the rule I push it. And will always push it. My fun has always been not to win but to push that rule and get away with it. If they want to complain about cheaters complain. There's a 35 dollar rule in affect that any driver can use to go after those they think is cheating but nobody uses it. Most the people racing in a certain class don't care that much as long as you don't hit them. Personally I don't care if you bring a semi down to race it would be fun. If the driver don't want to put his 35 dollars up then shut up let these boys race. As I read why is other classes wording about the other's? I run pro stock all the time since it came out and I don't car what open does or stock does or cruisers do cause that's not my peers I'm racing with. I laughed hard when i seen someone post worry about your own racing finishes then get involved in someone else's racing. You have enough of a time to won your race. Does your own racing suck that bad you got to bring down others for the lack of what you can't do yourself? Anyone who trys to mess with another class racing must not like there own racing and for here on out every time I see another class messing with another class I'm going to laugh at them. One thing about pro stock we don't go messing with stocks rule or cruisers rule. We worry about are own racing. But open seems to want to worry about stock. That's way to funny. Open is the only class to mess with another class. If they want to be that way we can all be that way and say over and over open don't bring the cars so they should be payed less lol come on down open mess with another class. We can mess with ur class also. If you are that unhappy with racing open then quit cause most of us won't miss ya. It is funny how idra officials are all open class. And are the Brooklyn boys. Funny how thongs work out like that. All this fighting and arguing just shows me one thing that u don't have even half the support. I read this anti idra post on another thread and I have to agree I'm against the idra now. Hell ill put anti idra on my car. I ain't afraid to do so. What's the idra going to do get mad and cry like a baby? . Nothing new there.

17x I have tried emailing don Wauters. I have emailed the idra website. I got a number to a guy name Joe icebience? And still nobody contacts me back. I wanted to race what cheer and Barnes city Brooklyn and sigourney. These guys do have points here. I can't turn away from there points. If you can't get them to even answer you what's the point? I do appreciate you responding to this. I can't see how this could even be fun. What if u have a big problem? I can't get a single glen person in charge to contact me back. I'm not going to throw my money out there and then be told no I can't do it. That would be stupid and was brought up better then that.

newdriver i hope u race. but dont let 17x fool ya its not all the what he said. If you dont believe anything this site says thats alll good but talk to drivers ask them. If a majority of drivers are saying the same thing then there is problems. Rules are bias on alot of ways and many drivers can tell u how they are un fair use ur own judgement on that. Dont take any of these others thoughts just like dont take 17x thoughts. Learn for your self ask around. Who better then the drivers to ask. The driver's in the class your wanting to race in is the class u need to be concerned about. Cause those are the people who you will be racing with. Not 17X. Not these other idiots on here either. The only true way to come to your own conclusion on what u want to do and stuff is to ask around. Dont be afraid to get others thoughts on things and make the best judgement for you.
